As a Security Guard - Telecom Access Control in Jeffersonville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a leading technology and media location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. By maintaining a visible presence, you will assist with access management and provide outstanding customer service to all employees and visitors. You will be expected to communicate clearly and respond promptly to inquiries or concerns, contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control procedures to help manage entry and exit of personnel and visitors at the location.
• Monitor identification badges and visitor logs to help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting employees, guests, and/or contractors as needed.
• Carry out security-related procedures in line with site-specific policies and protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as required.
• Document security-related incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports and/or incident logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
