As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the campus, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will interact with a diverse community, respond to various situations with professionalism, and communicate clearly with all individuals you encounter. This position may require you to ride a bike as part of your patrol duties, allowing you to cover more ground and respond quickly when needed. Pay Rate: $17.15 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the education location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general inquiries as needed.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits as required.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Able to ride a bike is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
