As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Retail Site in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will play a pivotal role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help mitigate potential issues, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. As this is an armed post, you will be equipped to address situations that require an elevated level of preparedness. The position also requires driving, allowing you to cover various areas of the property efficiently. You will have the opportunity to interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to situations as they arise.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols for armed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the retail environment, remaining alert to suspicious behavior and/or security-related concerns.
• Support emergency response activities as required, coordinating with Allied Universal and local authorities as appropriate.
• Complete detailed reports and documentation of security-related incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if required by the state of Texas.
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
