As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting routine patrols across assigned areas, staying highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding to any situations as they arise. You will be counted on to deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while interacting with diverse members of the campus community. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Pay Rate: $26.80 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSun07:30 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general inquiries as needed.
• Support access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials where required.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A current Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A current CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
