SecDev Engineer

HOW A NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

? Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio frequency, and/or data communications networks

? Configure, deploy, and manage load balancing tools, firewalls, email security appliances, and web proxies.

? Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and organizational requirements for security policy implementation.

? Monitor SecDev tools for performance and security logs to identify and respond to potential threats and vulnerabilities.

? Participate in security incident response activities, including the investigation, documentation, and remediation of security incidents, for incident response.

? Conduct regular network security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements for network security assessments.

? Manage F5s, firewalls, email security appliances and web proxy firmware upgrades and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure for upgrades and patching.

? Work closely with other IT and security teams to design and implement network security solutions for collaboration.

? Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of firewall configurations, changes, and network diagrams for documentation.

? Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to boundary devices to ensure they are up to date with the latest security features and firmware.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

? Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science

? Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience

? Required Technical Skills: Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, SSL/TLS, and related protocols.

? Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI w/Poly

? Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with network security concepts and technologies

? Other specific skills or competencies communication and problem solving

? Location: On Site

? US Citizenship Required

? IAT Level II certified

? Ability to work on call rotation as needed.

? Work hours: 8 hours per day (Mon-Fri). Specific hours agreed upon between employee and supervisor.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
