Position: Early Childhood Teacher (13-week contract, potential for extension or temp-to-perm)
Location: On-site in Flemington, NJ (08822) – Hunterdon County education jobs
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Shifts per Week: 5
Shift Duration: 8-hour days
Total Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Pay: $23/hr-$25/hr
Assignment Dates: October 20, 2025 – January 17, 2025

Teacher Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in early childhood education, preschool, or daycare setting preferred
Must meet annual continuing education requirements as mandated by the Division of Children & Families’ Office of Licensing
AHA BLS, CARI & CHRI clearance required (may start assignment while pending)
Ability to design and implement engaging lesson plans based on thematic units
Strong assessment skills to monitor child development and communicate progress with parents
Knowledge of child care safety protocols and risk management in an educational setting
Availability for parent-teacher conferences and staff meetings

Teacher Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a classroom, ensuring a safe, structured environment for children ages 0-5
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and educational activities
Support children in daily routines, including feeding, toileting, and diapering as needed
Maintain a clean, sanitary learning space by following proper disinfecting procedures
Engage with parents, families, and staff to support each child’s development and learning goals
