School Nurse

The School Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a school setting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contracted services. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare Staffing's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited registered, practical or vocational nursing program
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
• One year of professional experience, preferred
• Current CPR
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Start/End Date of assignment: ASAP-Tue 6/9/26

Start/End daily time: 7:00am-3:00pm

Schedule: 4 days (32 hours) 2 days at Tores & 2 float days

Services:

• Health office doing general triage and meeting with kids who require minutes (nurse will use SSM to chart)
• IEP Meetings: must be comfortable sitting in on IEP meetings & helping write health history and working with the CSN
• Charting: They use SSM which is common with CPS. Nurses go in and enter minutes for students on IEP. If no previous experience they will provide training
