Job Description

As a School LVN, you will play a vital role in providing healthcare services to students within the school setting. You will collaborate with school personnel, healthcare providers, and families to ensure the safety and well-being of students requiring medical care. Your work will be guided by Amergis' core values of servant leadership, innovation, and commitment to quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
• Monitor and document students' health status and progress.
• Assist with toileting, first aid, and student mobility around the school campus.
• Implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions.
• Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and supportive environment.
• Educate students and staff on health-related topics.
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Current California LVN license.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program.
• Current CPR certification, TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray, and health certificate as required.
