Sales Assistant

We are seeking a motivated Sales Assistant to support our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales, marketing, or a related field, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with senior sales staff and gain valuable experience in business development activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior sales staff with various business development activities, including making 200-400 cold and warm calls per week.
• Update CRM with sales activities on a daily basis.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for sales staff.
• Accompany sales staff for cold and warm canvassing.
• Follow up on leads to ensure potential clients are contacted.
• Adhere to a budget provided by the supervisor for specific tasks.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of related experience or academic background in business, promotional sales, customer service, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, bidding software, and other industry-specific software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid decision-making skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for those working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing or a related field.
• Experience in sales, data entry, phone etiquette, and sales support.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, customer service, administrative support, account management, and order processing.
• Experience with Salesforce.com, MS Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, SAP, and administration.

Work Environment

The role is based in an office setting within the construction industry. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
