Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee

Safety-Kleen is looking for a motivated Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will train to operate a Class B box truck while providing top-notch onsite service for parts washer machines, managing hazardous waste pickups, and promoting our exceptional products and services along a designated route. We will support you in obtaining your CDL!

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize safety by adhering to all workplace practices and policies
• Timely completion of daily services, deliveries, and pickups
• Exchange 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions at customer locations
• Complete all necessary documentation and labeling accurately
• Generate leads for new products and services through customer interactions
• Upsell additional products and services within existing accounts
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations
• Operate vehicles safely in compliance with U.S. DOT and other regulations
• Adhere to corporate operating guidelines and safety procedures
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a CDL B within 180 days of hire (company-sponsored)
• Capable of securing Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 30 days of obtaining CDL B
• Strong time management and independent work skills
• Basic computer and mathematical abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving capabilities
• Physical ability to perform job requirements
• Must pass background check, drug test, and physical examination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills
• Experience in commercial route driving (Class C or non-CDL)
