EHS Specialist

As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as internal EHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in fostering a safe and compliant workplace by being actively engaged on the production floor, conducting audits, investigating incidents, and delivering training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support EHS compliance programs in alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS training plans covering topics such as RCRA, NESHAP, HAZCOM, Lockout/Tagout, Forklift, Crane, and PPE.
• Coordinate or conduct environmental monitoring activities including air quality, stormwater, and waste management, along with permitting and associated documentation.
• Perform safety and environmental risk assessments, inspections, and audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, collaborating with Human Resources on workers' compensation processes.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and facilitate communication with internal teams and external agencies.
• Partner with facility leadership and corporate EHS teams to enhance and standardize EHS policies and procedures.

Essential Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 4-5+ years of EHS experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with safety inspections, OSHA training, OSHA 30 certification, and job hazard analysis.

Work Environment:

The position is set in a manufacturing shop floor environment, with work hours from 7 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The dress code is business casual.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $43.26/hr.
