RN Physician Practice - Rex Vascular - Garner

Rex Vascular in Garner is looking for an energetic and compassionate RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment journey. The hours you will be required to work are Monday thru Friday 8am - 4:30pm. Our office is closed all major holidays. This position qualifies for $10,000 commitment incentive paid out over 2 years. More information can be found here: Physician Clinic Nurse is a vital member of the outpatient vascular care team, responsible for clinical triage, wound care, patient education, and coordination of surgical and procedural workflows. This role supports vascular physicians, certified medical assistants (CMAs), vascular sonographers and front desk staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care. The nurse may float to other clinics during staffing shortages.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform telephone and electronic triage using evidence-based protocols.
2. Assess patient symptoms, provide clinical advice, and escalate urgent concerns.
3. Document all patient interactions in the EMR accurately and timely.
4. Support the triage of walk-in patients with accuracy and clinical expertise.
5.Provide wound assessments and dressing changes per physician orders.
6. Educate patients on wound care management and infection prevention.
7. Monitor healing progress and report concerns to the physician.
8. Take and implement physician orders accurately.
9. Prepare and maintain surgery templates and pre-op documentation.
10. Assist with patient flow, rooming, and clinical procedures.
11. Support CMAs and front desk staff with clinical questions and patient coordination.
12. Schedule diagnostic tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
13.Communicate with patients regarding results, instructions, and care plans.
14. Ensure continuity of care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
15. Float to other vascular or specialty clinics for staffing coverage as required.
16. Adapt quickly to different workflows and EMR systems.

Education Requirements:
• Diploma, Associate Degree (ADN) or Bachelors Degree (BSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
• Licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in North Carolina. BCLS.
Professional Experience Requirements:
• Previous experience in physician office, urgent care, emergency department preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other Rex staff. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
