As part of the highly trained Critical Care and Emergency Transportation team, you will contribute to the health and well-being of communities throughout North Carolina and beyond. Our operation utilizes both air and ground transport, featuring advanced helicopters and ambulances, all ready to respond 24/7 to emergencies and interfacility transfers of critically ill patients.

In this role, you will provide expert clinical nursing care and coordinate patient care as you navigate the fast-paced environment of helicopter and ground ambulance operations. Your expertise with neonatal and pediatric ICU patients will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care. With bases in various locations, you will experience diverse challenges and uphold the highest standards through our continuous education and collaborative team efforts.

This full-time position requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, with rotating shifts and bases. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be able to meet specific physical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide proficient clinical nursing care utilizing the nursing process in various emergency situations.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care, assessing and communicating patient needs effectively.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development to foster personal growth and enhance patient care.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to prioritize care and develop effective care plans.
• Read and apply current research and best practices to improve patient outcomes.
• Promote a safe and clean environment while adhering to healthcare regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required prior to the interview.
• A minimum of three years of experience in pediatric or neonatal critical care is required, with five years preferred.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job, including weight restrictions.
