Candidate requirements
Job specification

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients with mental health conditions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care.
Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and provide education to patients and their families about treatment plans and mental health conditions.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by monitoring patients' behaviors and ensuring compliance with unit protocols.
Develop individualized care plans for patients and document all care provided in accordance with hospital policies.

Candidate requirements

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; an advanced degree in mental health nursing or a related field is preferred.

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.

Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a mental health or psychiatric care setting.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification is preferred.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
