Registered Nurse (Rn) Interventional Radiology (Ir) Positions

Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Interventional Radiology (IR) assignments in New Orleans, LA!

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ ability to extend)

Number of Openings: 1

Start Date: 10/13

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 36 (312's) / Days (6a-6:30p) / Every other weekend

On-Call: required

Setting:

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN IR experience
• Telemetry, conscious sedation and circulator experience
• Preferred: Level I trauma, infant/peds, scrub, Neuro IR, and/or ICU/ED/Tele Stepdown experience
• LA RN or Compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Preferred: PALS, NIHSS, CPI

An Interventional Radiology Nurse is a specialized RN who assists the physician with medical imaging such as MRIs, ultrasounds or X-rays. The RN - Interventional Radiology is responsible for patient care during the entire process, including the initial assessment, the plan of care, administering medication, checking for lab results, and reviewing the patient's medical history.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• One year experience in Interventional Radiology preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
