Retail Intelligence Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze retail data using tools such as Cognos, IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, and POS systems to support client competitiveness and market strategy.

• Interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable business insights and operational requirements.

• Recommend process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhanced procedures.

• Create and deliver compelling data visualizations that support decision-making and align with current visualization trends.

• Build ad hoc reports for cross-functional teams and leadership on a need basis.

• Continuously improve systems by evaluating current practices and designing innovative modifications.

• Collaborate with team members to share discoveries and drive process innovation across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in data analysis or retail intelligence.

• At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, graphs, macros, etc.).

• Strong presentation and storytelling skills using data.

• Experience with ACNielsen NITRO, IRI Xlerate, Spectra, and proprietary retail systems is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization.

• Comfortable working in Windows environments and using tools for word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, email, and database management.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a team setting.

Physical Requirements

• Visual acuity and color perception required for data visualization and reporting tasks.
