Job Title: Server Attendant / Busser

Proper Grit, located on the ground floor of The Ben, is a whisky and supper clubinspired restaurant serving classic American cuisine with a modern twist, crafted from locally-sourced ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dining here is more than a mealit's a curated experience where ambiance and flavor merge. As a Server Attendant / Busser, you are the rhythm of the dining room, ensuring tables are polished, dishes are delivered with care, and service flows seamlessly. By anticipating guest needs and supporting servers and chefs, you help create a refined, effortless experience, making every visit to Proper Grit unforgettable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest cleanliness standards across the dining room and service areas, including dish removal, pre-bussing, trash removal, and floor care such as mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
• Bus tables efficiently while ensuring surfaces are spotless, floors and booths are sanitized, and all table settings are reset to Proper Grit's luxury standards.
• Keep bus cloths clean and damp for effective use.
• Organize and restock service stations to guarantee readiness throughout service.
• Assist servers attentively and communicate guest needs promptly and discreetly.
• Sort dishes and carry trays to the utility station safely and efficiently.
• Polish dining utensils daily to maintain refined presentation.
• Support food running and buffet replenishment when needed, ensuring items are delivered seamlessly from kitchen to floor.
• Deliver gracious hospitality at all times, anticipating the unique needs of every guest.
• Ensure prompt, efficient service in alignment with Proper Grit's dining room standards.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to luxury-level service.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
