Growing and reputable Denver based company seeking a dynamic Research Analyst.

A privately held organization with locations throughout the US that focus on Transportation, Real Estate and Energy industries.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze complex business situations, financial statements and structures, relevant industries, markets, companies and people; compile and extract into relevant business and/or investment opportunities
• Prepare and deliver executive presentations with insights of M&A, business development, and investment opportunities to strategically meet growth objectives
• Perform analytical/strategic‑thinking and ingenuity to help design and execute qualitative and quantitative research for studying business issues & projects market research, scenario planning, forecasting, business plan development, competitive intelligence, profitability, etc.
• Conduct qualitative and/or quantitative analyses/modeling using inputs such as internal data, research studies, stakeholder perspectives, and external reports and benchmarks; construct financial models and spreadsheet analysis for underwriting and due diligence activities
• Run standard and/or customized data reports; create decision support tools such as utilization models—primarily descriptive in nature; profiles and assessments of market trends; profiles and assessments of new markets; profiles and assessments of competitors and complementors to inform business decisions
• Apply a broad knowledge of business concepts and analytical principles to develop analytical frameworks, approach and methodology best practices to analyze complex strategy issues

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business (or similar)
• 2‑4 years of analytics experience with a preference for equity research, investment banking, and mergers and acquisitions
• Outstanding strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
• Eager to continue learning and grow
