Remediation Systems O&M Technician

Environmental Remediation Technician

You will perform remediation system operation and maintenance (O&M) and environmental field sampling at industrial job sites located primarily in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. Tools and work truck will be provided. Your key responsibilities include: working under the supervision of a technical project manager to complete tasks associated with operation and maintenance of a variety of remediation systems, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting environmental remediation systems and their components, collecting samples of environmental media for submission to independent laboratories for analysis, and strict adherence to health and safety procedures.

Your capabilities and credentials include good mechanical skills, an interest in maintaining mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment associated with remediation systems, excellent note-taking skills, attention to detail, strong communication and organization skills, and computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. You must be able to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs on a continual basis, safely climb a ladder on a repeated basis, and have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC card), or the ability to procure a TWIC card, is required. Prior to employment, this position will require the successful passing of a pre-employment physical and drug screen. This position is also subject to random drug and alcohol screening.

Education and experience include a high school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certificate, 1 to 4 years of experience working on equipment and machinery and experience using basic hand and power tools including experience with remediation system equipment, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and OSHA 30-hour Construction training are a plus, but not required. OSHA training will be provided as needed.
