Your work schedule will consist of 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours long, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. You will also be on call for one day each week on your off day and one weekend per month. Additionally, enjoy a $3,000 sign-on bonus and incentives for working extra shifts!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign staff based on policies, ensuring a fair distribution of duties.
- Foster teamwork and encourage staff to provide timely and appropriate resident care.
- Conduct rounds to assess residents and their care, reporting any concerns promptly to the relevant staff.
- Receive reports from charge nurses and prepare shift reports for the Director of Nursing.
- Communicate effectively with the Director regarding any administrative concerns requiring attention.
- Manage and discipline staff as needed while promoting accountability and autonomy in resident care.
- Delegate responsibilities based on policy to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Develop measurable staff goals and maintain professionalism within the workplace.
- Serve as a resource for nursing personnel and seek guidance as necessary.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in directing and managing patient care.
- Document and communicate care plans effectively and respectfully.
- Review and update care plans in collaboration with Charge Nurses based on resident assessments.
- Identify appropriate nursing interventions associated with the care plan and implement relevant resident/family education.
- Assess and address the physical, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs of residents.
- Support Charge Nurses in maintaining their clinical competencies and coordinate necessary interventions.
- Adhere to emergency procedures and be aware of safety issues while on duty.
- Participate in monthly Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities and monitor pharmacy recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license required.
- Two years of supervisory experience in long-term care preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in long-term care or equivalent nursing experience is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and transfer residents safely, utilizing proper techniques.
- Skill to push and pull equipment over 40 lbs with appropriate methods.
- Manual dexterity and coordination in working with residents and nursing equipment.
- Proficiency in documentation and visual acuity required.
- Able to handle a variety of tasks efficiently.
Compensation: Annual salary ranges from $59,810 to $94,539.
