Overview:

Serve as the regional partner for safety, health, and environmental programs, supporting Terracon’s Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. Collaborate with corporate safety and local offices to ensure consistent application of safety policies and client compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  Implement safety policies and initiatives aligned with Terracon’s strategic goals.

  Audit radiation safety and support RSOs with license amendments and mentoring.

• n

  Conduct office and lab safety inspections; coach local safety coordinators.

  Monitor driving safety, ensure license validity, and vehicle compliance.

  Oversee DOT compliance for commercial drivers, including eLogs and inspections.

• n

  Analyze safety metrics and advise regional leadership on performance improvements.

• n

  Facilitate safety training (monthly topics, equipment use, first aid/CPR, etc.).

  Track and audit new hire safety onboarding.

  n

• n

  Review near-miss reports and lead corrective actions.

  n

• n

  Coordinate with corporate safety on incident follow-ups.

  Lead and mentor Local Safety Coordinators through monthly discussions.

• n

  Conduct site visits for safety check-ins and compliance audits.

• n

  Maintain quality and safety standards across all projects.

  n

• n

  Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

n
• n

  Bachelor’s in occupational safety or 3+ years working in Terracon’s core services.

  n
n
• n

  Basic knowledge of OSHA construction safety and DOT commercial driver rules.

  n
n
• n

  Strong communication and coaching skills.

  n
n
• n

  Willingness to travel overnight.

  n
n
• n

  Valid driver’s license with acceptable history.

  n
n

Certification Required:

• First Aid/CPR (American Red Cross or equivalent)
