Principal Accountabilities 

• Maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, including chemical testing and treatment.
• Conduct daily system monitoring through observations and trend analysis.
• Optimize ammonia operations utilizing the Logix system.
• Oversee the training of maintenance technicians to enhance operator competency.
• Develop and review operational procedures, preventive maintenance, and standard operating procedures.
• Support PSM compliance audits.
• Maintain plant equipment and ensure possession of PIT license.
• Display knowledge and troubleshooting abilities related to the boiler system.
• Collaborate with supervisors and production to enhance quality and yields.
• Complete assigned daily tasks efficiently.
• Assist with wastewater operations as needed.
• Work on air compressor systems and HVAC equipment when necessary.
• Document related work orders and adhere to applicable PSM elements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
• Understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration systems is essential.
• Must possess Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Certification - Operator Level 1.
• Able to wear a full-face breathing respirator mask.
• Willing to participate in Hazmat team operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience is required.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude is a must.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Possess a strong safety philosophy and adhere to all safety policies.
• Able to learn about evaporative condenser water chemistry.
• Availability to work weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer literacy and willingness to learn SAP/PPE systems.
• Maintenance experience in a food processing environment.
• Understanding of wastewater systems is an advantage.
• HVAC system experience is preferred.
• Experience with boiler systems is a plus.
• Experience operating compressed air systems is beneficial.
• Able to use test and calibration equipment effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot motor controls and circuits is preferred.
