Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating and implementing the Agency's recruitment efforts to ensure adequate, qualified field staff are available to meet the staffing needs of the Agency. Participates in the hiring process of direct care staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, college degree preferred.
• Experience in a health care setting and knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with people.
• Demonstrates organization and time management skills.
• Speaks, writes, reads, and understands English and any bilingual capacity is preferred.
• Demonstrates skills in organization, problem-solving, decision-making, conflict resolution, and the ability to work independently.
• Personal computer and data entry skills.

Essential Functions/Areas of Accountability

1. Monitors staff availability and hiring needs.
2. ComForCare St Louis strives to match only the highest quality employees with each client. Therefore, this position is involved in the screening, interviewing, processing, and orientation of employees. Continually recruits qualified field staff to meet the needs of the Agency.
3. Ensures that adequate numbers of staff are available to meet current client needs as well as anticipated flow of new referrals.
4. Participates in the hiring process of direct care staff.
   1. Manages all aspects of the Agency's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) including but not limited to posting jobs, refreshing jobs, and managing candidate flow.
   2. Conducts initial phone screening and/or interviews with applicants.
   3. Utilizes various recruitment techniques such as marketing and direct mailers to capture new applicants.
5. Ensures new clients' service needs are met within established timeframes.
6. Maintains logs/records of recruitment activity and conversion rates.
7. Preparation of monthly employee newsletters to be included with paychecks.
8. Communicates effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary team through verbal reports, participation in staff meetings, and team conferences, as requested.
9. Assisting Payroll Coordinator with payroll processing as required, including the verification of units of service and flowsheet receipt in time to process payroll. This specialist will ensure that all approved invoices are sent to LTC payors within 24 hours of receipt of flowsheets from Payroll specialist.
10. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
    1. Respects the confidentiality of information in client and employee records.
    2. Shares information in accordance with Agency policy and HIPAA guidelines.
    3. Protects written confidential documents in a manner that prevents unauthorized access.
11. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
