Primary Purpose: To provide rate and underwriting analysis services and support to external and internal customers.

• Performs accurate and timely rate analyses pertaining to self insurance, retrospective rating, wage continuation, and cost of claims.
• Responds to external and internal client questions (written or phone) concerning issues related to rating, underwriting and coverage.
• Assists in the group rating process including analysis for eligibility; reviews and processes employers rejected by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation (BWC).
• Reviews accuracy of claim costs charged to employers' annual experience exhibits; files protest if errors are found.
• Completes tasks generated systematically or internally in a timely manner.

Additional Functions and Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Supports the organization's quality program(s).

Qualifications:

Education & Licensing: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in mathematics or related field preferred.

Experience: One (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with Ohio Worker's Compensation rating or general insurance principles preferred.

• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
