Radiology/X-Ray Technologist - PRN

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our dynamic healthcare team.

With 23 locations in Arkansas, Baptist Health Urgent Care is an affiliate of Urgent Team, a leading operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers offer quality and affordable family healthcare, open seven days a week, providing treatments for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our Fort Smith-Northside location operates on weekends from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will perform x-ray tests, utilizing your knowledge of patient anatomy and physiology. Responsibilities include operating diagnostic equipment, developing films, preparing examination rooms, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties. As a PRN team member, your schedule will be flexible and based on the needs of the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet patients promptly upon their arrival in the waiting area or exam room.
• Communicate wait times and provide guidance on the next steps in their treatment.
• Address patient concerns effectively and seek help in emergent situations.
• Follow up with patients to ensure their needs are met.
• Support front desk personnel with patient check-in/out when needed.
• Document patient vital signs and medical history accurately.
• Assist patients during transfers and procedures supervised by the provider.
• Perform radiology procedures efficiently for physician evaluation.
• Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards in imaging.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while following safety protocols.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report issues immediately.
• Maintain and improve imaging knowledge and skills through ongoing education.
• Keep current licensure and certification as required.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• AR State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
