Radiology Technologist

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our dynamic healthcare team.

Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 convenient locations across Arkansas as an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our walk-in centers deliver a variety of healthcare services including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Note that our Conway - Oak Street location's weekend hours are Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. All Baptist Health Urgent Care centers are Accredited Care Centers, a designation recognizing our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive services.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiology Technologist will conduct x-ray tests, leveraging knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure proper body mechanics and patient movement. Responsibilities include operating diagnostic equipment, developing films, preparing the examination room with necessary equipment and supplies for procedures, and performing Medical Assistant duties. Full-time team members will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities represent the core expectations of this position but are not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned.

• Greet patients promptly upon entry to waiting areas, exam rooms, and x-ray rooms.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding wait times and next steps in their treatment process.
• Provide solutions to patient issues and seek assistance in emergencies.
• Execute timely follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/out procedures, when necessary.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, weight, and relevant medical history.
• Assist with transferring patients and performing procedures under the direct supervision of medical providers.
• Complete required documentation related to patient visits.
• Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Conduct necessary quality control procedures for optimal exam performance.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, following all clinical and safety guidelines.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to the manager or on-duty provider.
• Continually enhance diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills.
• Maintain up-to-date licensure and certification for radiology equipment usage.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, AR State X-Ray License, ARRT Certification preferred, and experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
