Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist to join our Interventional Radiology Lab. The ideal candidate will operate advanced imaging equipment to assist physicians in performing minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role requires technical proficiency, patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and operate fluoroscopy and other imaging equipment during interventional radiology procedures.

Position patients appropriately and ensure their comfort and safety throughout procedures.

Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures.

Monitor equipment function, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain quality control standards.

Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.

Prepare contrast media and assist with its administration as directed.

Maintain accurate patient records, procedure documentation, and equipment logs.

Adhere to infection control policies and sterile techniques during procedures.

Participate in equipment maintenance and calibration activities.

Provide patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure care instructions.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field.

Current and unrestricted state licensure or certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification preferred).

Minimum of 1â€“2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related imaging specialty.

Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures, equipment, and safety standards.

Strong patient care and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (if any)

Experience with digital imaging systems and PACS.

Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) or equivalent.

Familiarity with sterile field protocols and operating room procedures.

Certifications (if any)

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification â€“ required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification â€“ required.
