Position Summary:

As a Radiology Technologist, you will provide high-quality imaging procedures to our patients and physicians in a respectful and efficient manner while ensuring a safe and clean environment.

Position Requirements:

Education: Must have a Radiologic Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution and comply with CE requirements. BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Experience: A preference for candidates with at least one year of clinical experience after graduation, though we are willing to provide training.

Skills: Proficient knowledge of various x-ray equipment and computer systems. Training will be provided for specific equipment used at Williamson Health. Previous training in fluoroscopy, surgery, and routine studies is beneficial.

Physical Requirements: You must be able to perform multiple tasks, including operating equipment, assisting patients, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Clear communication, decision-making skills in urgent situations, and emotional stability are essential.

Performance Standards:

1. Verify patient identity and physician orders before performing any imaging studies.
2. Inquire about pregnancy status in female patients (ages 12-50) and document appropriately.
3. Check all patients receiving intravenous contrast for allergies and medical history.
4. Implement proper radiation safety protocols for all individuals, adhering to ALARA, IMAGE GENTLY, and IMAGE WISELY guidelines.
5. Ensure patient dignity and comfort throughout their examination and transport.
6. Utilize downtime effectively to assist in other areas.
7. Regularly check on patients waiting in hallways to ensure their comfort.
8. Demonstrate leadership and teamwork, making sound decisions under pressure.
9. Be willing to volunteer for overtime or fill-in shifts when needed.
10. Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients during transfers.
11. Consistently produce high-quality imaging studies.
12. Collaborate well with colleagues to maximize equipment use and meet physician and patient requests efficiently.
