Radiology Technologist (Float Position)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform primary diagnostic examinations to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Ensure accurate anatomical orientation on all imaging and maintain proper documentation.
• Provide exceptional patient care and explain procedures to reassure patients.
• Operate radiographic equipment with proficiency and safety.
• Observe and document patient vital signs during examinations.
• Manage patient schedules effectively and cover for staff as needed.
• Mentor new hires, ensuring they are well-trained in procedures.
• Uphold CPR certification and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologists.
• Maintain cleanliness in examination rooms and equipment.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certified.
• Ability to learn and use computerized systems within the department.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
• 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Lift patients weighing up to 300 pounds for equipment operation.
• Must have sight correctable to 20/20 for effective operation of equipment.
