Radiology Technologist - Float Position

In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential diagnostic examinations and creating a comforting environment for patients. This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates and a chance to work throughout the Tri-State region including various locations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities:

• Properly identify anatomical orientation on images, ensuring accurate file identification.
• Perform all radiographic procedures competently and operate associated equipment.
• Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information into the computerized system.
• Execute high-quality x-rays while prioritizing patient safety from excessive radiation.
• Monitor patient vital signs during examinations.
• Provide coverage in case of staffing shortages or high patient volumes.
• Guide and mentor new hires.
• Maintain CPR certification and adhere to compliance standards.
• Ensure a positive patient experience by clearly communicating procedure details and follow-up steps.
• Work collaboratively within the team, contributing to a supportive work environment.
• Keep examination rooms clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and 1+ years of experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting/carrying items up to 50 pounds.
• Able to lift patients up to 300 pounds when necessary.
• Vision must be correctable to 20/20 for equipment operation and film review.
