Radiology Technologist Float

As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing primary diagnostic examinations and ensuring a supportive environment for patients during their procedures. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform radiographic procedures and operate necessary equipment with high competency.
• Greet patients, gather medical histories, and accurately input information into the computer system.
• Execute x-ray procedures to produce optimal quality images while prioritizing patient safety from excessive radiation.
• Monitor patient vital signs throughout examinations and maintain a secure and clean examination environment.
• Provide guidance to new employees and demonstrate teamwork in a collaborative atmosphere.
• Comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining a positive experience for both patients and referring providers.
• Conduct quality assurance on images and equipment, ensuring submissions meet diagnostic quality without requiring further image acquisitions.

Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
• Ability to proficiently learn and use computerized systems within the department.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
• 1+ year of experience as a general radiologic technologist.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of assisting patients weighing up to 300 pounds into appropriate positions for equipment operation.
