Radiology Technologist Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Exhibit proficiency in performing job-related skills suitable for various patient populations and services.
• Oversee the comprehensive administration, coordination, and evaluation of patient registration.
• Warmly greet visitors and patients.
• Facilitate the check-in process and assist with check-out.
• Verify patient insurance information.
• Inform patients about charges for services being rendered.
• Direct patients to relevant resources for additional information.
• Answer phone calls and relay messages effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Follow established guidelines to fulfill job requirements.
• Prepare patients for exams by assisting with clothing changes, positioning them, and escorting them to and from exam rooms.
• Ensure exam rooms are ready and organized.
• Engage compassionately with patients, from healthy individuals to those in critical conditions.
• Possess understanding of standard practices, which may include starting IVs based on the modality.
• Adhere to instructions and pre-set guidelines while performing job tasks.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all job-related skills relevant to various service areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience are required. Effective communication skills with physicians, patients, and the public is necessary to establish positive working relationships.

Physical Requirements: This role may involve lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, prolonged periods of sitting, alongside frequent standing and walking.

Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs depending on department.
