Radiology Technician

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking compassionate and skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to join our thriving healthcare team.

ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH URGENT CARE:
Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations across Arkansas and is an affiliate of Urgent Team, a leading independent operator of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers offer quality, affordable healthcare, providing a wide range of services including treatment for injuries, illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week, with varying hours for our locations.

JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will conduct x-ray testing while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will operate diagnostic equipment, prepare the exam room, and undertake Medical Assistant responsibilities as needed. Full-time staff will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours a week, including 12-hour shifts and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) positions are available as well.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Below are the main responsibilities associated with this position:

• Welcome patients warmly upon arrival and assist with any inquiries regarding their care.
• Maintain clear communication regarding wait times and next steps in the treatment process.
• Address patient questions and seek assistance during emergencies or hazardous situations.
• Make timely follow-up calls to patients to ensure excellent care continuity.
• Support front desk staff with patient check-in/out as needed.
• Accurately collect and document patient vital signs, histories, and relevant information.
• Assist with patient transfers and follow protocols for procedures overseen by the provider.
• Complete all required patient visit documentation promptly.
• Perform timely radiology procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment by the attending physician.
• Carry out quality control procedures to ensure high standards in imaging.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, adhering to safety protocols including radiation protection.
• Ensure all diagnostic equipment is functioning properly and report issues to the manager on duty.
• Stay updated on diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills through ongoing education.
• Maintain all necessary certifications and licensure related to radiology practice.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• AR State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification is preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
