Radiology Technician

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking passionate and skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to be part of our dynamic healthcare team.

ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH URGENT CARE:
Baptist Health Urgent Care operates 23 locations in Arkansas and is affiliated with Urgent Team, a leading independent provider of urgent and family care services in the Southeast. Our centers are dedicated to delivering quality and affordable family healthcare at more than 80 locations across eight brands.

Our convenient walk-in centers offer a wide range of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week with varying hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Our Conway - Oak Street location has weekend hours from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. All centers are Accredited Care Centers, recognized for their commitment to safety and quality by the Urgent Care Association.

JOB SUMMARY:
This role involves performing X-ray testing while ensuring accurate body mechanics and efficient patient movement, leveraging your knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Responsibilities also include operating diagnostic equipment, developing films, preparing the procedure room, and assuming Medical Assistant duties. Full-time team members work rotating 36-40 hour weekly schedules, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend, while PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties reflect the expectations of this position but are not exhaustive. Additional tasks may be assigned.

• Greet patients promptly upon arrival in waiting areas, exam rooms, and radiology areas.
• Maintain clear communication with patients regarding wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
• Address patient concerns and seek assistance in emergency situations as necessary.
• Conduct follow-up calls with urgency and care.
• Aid front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when needed.
• Take and document patient vital signs, weight, and comprehensive medical history.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under the supervision of a provider.
• Follow documentation procedures meticulously during patient visits.
• Perform radiology procedures promptly for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Conduct quality control to ensure high standards in radiology exams.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, adhering to established safety protocols for patient care.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions to the Manager or on-duty provider.
• Commit to ongoing education to enhance diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills.
• Maintain current licensing and certification for radiology equipment as required.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, AR State X-Ray License, and ARRT Certification preferred. Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.
