Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist - PRN

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking skilled and compassionate ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technologists to join our vibrant healthcare team.

Baptist Health Urgent Care consists of 23 locations throughout Arkansas and is proudly affiliated with Urgent Team, a leading independent provider of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our family of centers offers quality and affordable healthcare at over 80 locations, maintaining a strong commitment to patient care.

Our walk-in centers provide a variety of healthcare services ranging from injury and illness treatment to occupational health and wellness care. We operate seven days a week, with accessible hours designed for our patients. JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you will conduct x-ray tests, utilizing your knowledge of body mechanics and anatomy to ensure patient safety and comfort. This position requires the operation of diagnostic equipment, film development, and preparation of the procedure room, while also performing Medical Assistant duties. Our PRN (per diem) team members work on an as-needed basis, providing flexibility in your schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Below are responsibilities typically expected in this position, although additional duties may be assigned:

• Welcoming patients as they arrive in waiting and exam areas
• Providing timely updates on wait times and guiding patients through the treatment process
• Addressing patient concerns efficiently and seeking assistance in emergencies
• Performing follow-up calls with urgency
• Supporting front desk staff in patient check-in and check-out processes when required
• Documenting patient vital signs, medical history, current medications, and allergies accurately
• Aiding in patient transfers
• Assisting with procedures under direct supervision
• Following proper documentation protocols related to patient visits
• Carrying out timely radiology procedures for physician evaluation and treatment
• Performing necessary quality control to guarantee exam standards
• Preparing patients for radiologic procedures and adhering to safety and care protocols
• Ensuring all equipment is functional and reporting any issues promptly
• Maintaining and enhancing your diagnostic imaging skills through ongoing education
• Keeping up with licensure and certification requirements for equipment use

REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered, candidates should possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License
• ARRT Certification preferred
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous
