The internship will take place June 1st-August 7th 2026. Interns will be scheduled to work 20-30 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. This is an on-site role requiring the ability to work at locations throughout the Greater Charlotte area.
Pay Range
$20.00 - $20.00
This internship offers undergraduate students in Business or Analytics programs the opportunity to explore the operational, financial, technological, and data-driven aspects of a radiology department. Interns will work alongside clinical and administrative teams to support performance analysis, workflow optimization, and strategic planning.
Major Responsibilities:

• Analyze imaging department metrics such as patient volume, turnaround times, and resource utilization.
• Assist in developing dashboards and reports to support operational decision-making.
• Conduct workflow assessments and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support financial analysis related to imaging services, billing, and reimbursement.
• Participate in strategic planning meetings and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Help with data validation and quality assurance for radiology information systems (RIS/PACS).
• Collaborate with clinical staff to understand the intersection of patient care and business operations.
• Gain insight into the business and analytics functions of a radiology department.
• Understand how data informs clinical and operational decisions in healthcare.
• Develop skills in performance tracking, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
• Build professional relationships with healthcare leaders and data analysts.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

• None Required.

Education Required:
Currently enrolled with junior or senior status in a Bachelor's program in Business, Analytics, Health Administration, or a related field.
Experience Required:

• No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Current enrollment with junior or senior status at a regional accredited college or university. Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree
• Grade point average of at least 2.5.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
• Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
