Essential Functions

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepare patients for exams.
• Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
• Complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care or quality, and assist in training students and other Radiology Techs.
• Provide patient education, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques effectively.
• Operate imaging equipment and related information systems to ensure high-quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient information and procedures performed.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and reporting equipment failures.

Minimum Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification.
• Radiologic technologist license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinical setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of radiology experience.
• IV Certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to see and read information, assess patient needs, and operate monitors.
• Frequent verbal communication with patients and care providers, especially during emergencies.
• Manual dexterity to operate complex equipment and frequent computer use for documentation.
• Expected to lift and move patients and equipment, including heavy items.
• Assist with transporting patients and distributing supplies, navigating busy environments.
• May stand for extended periods.

The hourly range for this position is $29.14 - $44.94, based on experience.
