Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care

This role offers a $15,000 commitment incentive paid over three years of service. This position involves 12-hour shifts and every other weekend.

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will:

1. Perform routine imaging procedures using advanced radiology equipment to ensure accurate diagnostic data is obtained.
2. Assist radiologists in complex procedures, including the preparation and administration of contrast media and medications, adhering to all state and federal regulations.
3. Evaluate and ensure the quality of radiographic images and verify the appropriateness of examinations.
4. Maintain comprehensive records in the RIS system, ensuring all patient demographic and procedure data is correctly recorded.
5. React promptly to emergency situations, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout their experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology, following departmental protocols and procedures.
• Carefully critique and save all pertinent images, transmitting QA-ed images to the PACS system.
• Assess patients thoroughly, verifying history and pregnancy status prior to examinations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, diligently documenting incidents and improvement opportunities.

Education and Requirements:

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program (degree must be completed within 90 days of hire if not already obtained).
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible (must become registered within one year of hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification is required.

Desired Qualifications:

• No prior experience is required, making this an ideal opportunity for new graduates.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control measures is essential.
