Radiologic Technologist - PRN

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Radiologic Technologists to join our exceptional healthcare team.

Our walk-in centers offer a variety of healthcare services, including treatments for injuries, illnesses, and wellness care, available seven days a week. JOB SUMMARY:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform x-ray procedures with a focus on patient care and safety. This role includes operating diagnostic equipment, developing films, and performing Medical Assistant duties as needed. While full-time team members will work a rotating schedule, our PRN (per diem) staff will be scheduled as needed, offering flexibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet patients promptly and warmly upon arrival in waiting and exam areas.
• Maintain effective communication with patients regarding wait times and next steps in their care.
• Identify patient issues and seek assistance in emergency situations.
• Make follow-up calls to patients with a sense of priority.
• Assist at the front desk as required, including patient check-in and check-out.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, medical history, current medications, and allergies.
• Support patient transfers and assist in procedures under a provider's supervision.
• Perform timely radiologic procedures for the attending physician's evaluation and treatment.
• Conduct quality control procedures to ensure high standards of imaging.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, adhering to safety protocols and radiation protection measures.
• Ensure that diagnostic equipment operates correctly, reporting malfunctions as needed.
• Commit to ongoing education and maintain licensure and certification in radiology.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• AR State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
