Radiologic Technologist - PRN

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate Radiologic Technologists to join our dynamic healthcare team.

ABOUT BAPTIST HEALTH URGENT CARE:
Baptist Health Urgent Care, an affiliate of Urgent Team, is one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, with 23 locations in Arkansas. Our walk-in centers provide a range of healthcare services including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our centers are open seven days a week and are Accredited Care Centers, recognized for their commitment to safety and quality.

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform x-ray testing with a focus on patient safety and comfort. Your responsibilities will include operating diagnostic equipment, producing quality films, and preparing examination rooms with necessary equipment and supplies. As a PRN team member, you will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties will reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be exhaustive:

• Greet patients promptly in waiting areas and examination rooms.
• Communicate effectively with patients about wait times and treatment steps.
• Provide solutions to patient concerns and escalate emergency situations as required.
• Conduct follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out procedures when necessary.
• Accurately document patient vital signs, medical histories, current medications, and allergies.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Perform timely radiology procedures for physician evaluation and treatment.
• Execute quality control procedures to ensure high-quality exams.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to safety protocols, including radiation protection.
• Ensure equipment functionality and report malfunctions to management.
• Maintain and enhance your diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with continued education.
• Keep all required licenses up-to-date.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• AR State X-Ray License.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
