Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant

Baptist Urgent Care is seeking passionate and skilled individuals for the position of Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Both full-time and PRN positions are available!

Our walk-in facilities offer a wide range of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All of our centers are Accredited Care Centers, demonstrating our commitment to safety and quality care.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant will play a pivotal role in the patient experience by welcoming patients, managing patient files, and providing essential support to both patients and medical staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are typically associated with this position but are not exhaustive. Other responsibilities may be assigned:

• Warmly greet patients in the waiting area, exam room, and x-ray room.
• Maintain clear communication with patients regarding wait times and the next steps in their care.
• Address patient concerns and escalate issues in urgent situations when required.
• Provide timely updates on lab and x-ray results and conduct follow-up calls promptly.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in and check-out processes when needed.
• Accurately obtain and document vital signs, weight, brief medical history, and other relevant information.
• Support patient transfers and assist in procedures under the supervision of the provider.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while ensuring safety and adherence to best practices, including radiation protection.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the Regional Operation Manager or provider.
• Complete all required documentation accurately following established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of examination rooms.
• Follow infection control guidelines and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, medical procedures, and laboratory tasks relevant to your training under provider supervision.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant. Certification as a Medical Assistant or similar experience is essential. A valid state license for X-ray operation and BLS Certification are mandatory.
