SUMMARY:

Join our dynamic Imaging Department as a Radiologic Technologist, where you'll perform high-quality radiographic exams under the guidance of a Radiologist. Your role will include executing various procedures within General Radiology, such as OR cases, special procedures, and portable exams, all while adhering to established techniques, policies, and regulatory standards. We are committed to upholding professional standards from the NYS Department of Health and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct Patient Care: Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and positioning to deliver exceptional patient care. Accurately determine exposure factors for optimal outcomes while minimizing radiation exposure by following the ALARA principle. Engage with patients and their families in a professional manner, addressing their concerns and ensuring all preparations for exams are met.

• Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a sterile and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, ensuring cleanliness, and performing daily quality assurance on equipment. Manage supplies effectively and report any mechanical issues promptly.

• Professional Growth: Participate actively in departmental meetings and engage in continuous education for personal and professional development. Foster a collaborative environment by supporting your peers and facilitating smooth operations within the department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• New York State Department of Health Licensure

• Registered with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)

• BLS certification within 3 months of hire

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology program

• IV certification

• At least 1 year of experience in a general radiography setting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires medium work — exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, alongside frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $29.15 - $42.34

The listed pay range is a good faith representation of current potential compensation for a successful full-time applicant. Pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and location.
