Position Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will deliver high-quality imaging procedures in a respectful and efficient manner, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our patients and physicians.

Position Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology; Accredited by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; CE compliance required.
• Certification: BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience: Preferably one year of hospital experience after graduation and accreditation, though we are open to training new candidates.
• Skills: Familiarity with various x-ray equipment and computers; training on specific equipment will be provided.

Physical Environment and Effort

Work in a multi-modality imaging department practicing radiation safety and universal precautions.

1. Ensure accuracy by verifying patient identification and physician orders.
2. Inquire about pregnancy in female patients (ages 12-50) and document responses accurately.
3. Document allergies and medical history for patients receiving intravenous contrast media.
4. Follow radiation safety practices, adhering to ALARA principles.
5. Maintain patient dignity by ensuring proper coverage during exams and transport.
6. Offer assistance in other areas during downtime to optimize service.
7. Check on patients in hallways regularly to guarantee their coverage and comfort.
8. Demonstrate leadership and teamwork, especially in challenging situations.
9. Be willing to volunteer for overtime when needed.
10. Follow safety protocols during patient transfers to ensure their well-being.
11. Consistently perform high-quality imaging studies.
12. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to utilize equipment efficiently and complete requests from physicians and patients.
