Position Details:

• Location: 631 Quaker Lane South, West Hartford, CT 06110 (may cover secondary locations for planned/unplanned PTO in Bristol, Manchester, Glastonbury, Torrington, and Meridan)
• Department: Radiology
• Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday (shifts between 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM)

We have an immediate opening for a friendly, patient-focused, and detail-oriented Radiologic Technician to support our Imaging team. Your role will involve providing top-quality Radiologic exams while adhering to established standards to ensure optimal patient care. You will utilize your knowledge of techniques and uphold the ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure while achieving the best clinical outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate support to patients, helping to build confidence and trust.
• Prepare patients for Radiology exams by collecting and recording necessary data.
• Review patient orders for accuracy in demographics and coding.
• Triage patients according to approved protocols, aligned with ProHealth's guidelines.
• Document vital patient information for Radiologists and Bone Densitometries.
• Maintain an organized daily patient log for productivity and billing.
• Utilize the CoActiv Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS) to review images and reports.
• Assess imaging reports for accuracy and coordinate with the Radiology group for any needed follow-ups.
• Ensure equipment is prepared and maintained according to quality standards.
• Stay current with coding, OSHA, ACR, ARRT regulations, and ProHealth policies.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth office operations and excellent service.
• Conduct cardiac monitor testing and receive training for holter and wireless event monitoring.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT registration and CT license.
• 1+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Commitment to maintaining continuous medical education credits.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bone Densitometry Certification.
• 3+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Familiarity with electronic health records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC).
