SUMMARY:

The Radiologic Technician plays a key role in performing quality radiographic procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will assist radiologists in capturing high-quality diagnostic images, contributing to optimal patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct radiographic procedures for patients across all assigned areas.

• Maintain accountability for efficient and compassionate service during unsupervised shifts.

• Ensure accurate documentation of exams and related procedures in the RIS/PACS and patient charts as necessary.

• Regularly clean, restock, and prepare examination rooms for optimal readiness.

• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

• Commit to providing excellent customer service to enhance patient experiences.

• Provide on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology as required.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support departmental goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two-year college certificate or equivalent training.

• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR a NYS permit with the expectation of obtaining full licensure within six months of hire.

• Radiologic professionals licensed after 2007 must obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT) within one year of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - This role involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly for moving objects. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is required.
