Radiation Therapist - South Florida

Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Oncology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality radiation treatments to cancer patients, ensuring safe and accurate administration, and providing compassionate care throughout the treatment process.
Key Responsibilities:

• Administer external beam radiation therapy as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
• Set up and position patients accurately, utilizing appropriate techniques and imaging for precise treatment delivery.
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, ensuring that it is functioning correctly and safely.
• Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to plan and modify treatment plans.
• Monitor and assess patients for any side effects or complications and provide appropriate support.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of treatment records, including daily treatments and patient responses.
• Educate patients on the treatment process, potential side effects, and provide emotional support throughout their therapy.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation protection standards, to minimize exposure to staff and patients.
• Participate in regular quality assurance checks to ensure equipment and processes meet required standards.
• Attend team meetings and assist in case reviews when necessary.

• Education:
  • Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Certification:
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy.
  • State licensure as required.
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in radiation therapy preferred.
