Quality Engineer

Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with a leading manufacturing client to find a full-time Quality Engineer for their plant located just south of Chattanooga, TN. (Dalton area)

Key Responsibilities:

  Identify and resolve quality or production issues

  n
n
• n

  Develop and maintain inspection standards for service parts

  n
n
• n

  Investigate customer complaints, resolve supplier quality and internal audit issues.

  n
n
• n

  Lead quality activities, including FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and failure analysis

  n
n
• n

  Support internal, customer, and IATF audits; lead audit readiness efforts

  n
n
• n

  Provide support to Quality Technicians and other staff as needed

  n
n
• n

  Track and report monthly internal and external PPM metrics; identify trends and support corrective actions

  n
n
• n

  Participate in Kaizen/continuous improvement efforts and monitor KPIs (e.g., scrap reduction, first-pass yield)

  n
n

Qualifications:

n
• n

  Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred

  n
n
• n

  2+ years of experience in quality engineering or a similar quality role

  n
n
• n

  Strong knowledge of inspection equipment & quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA)

  n
n
• n

  Experience with ERP, QMS, MES, or other integrated manufacturing and quality systems

  n
n
• n

  Automotive manufacturing background strongly preferred

  n
n
