Trillium Staffing is now seeking a Purchasing Manager in Howe, Indiana for a direct-hire placement!

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations and ensure smooth, efficient production flow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a vital role in supplier management, cost control, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily purchasing operations and build a productive, high-performing team
• Maintain supplier databases, purchase records, and all related documentation
• Collaborate with inventory control to assess and manage material needs
• Drive improvements in purchasing systems, processes, and vendor performance
• Train and mentor new team members in purchasing procedures and software use
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure product quality, on-time delivery, and compliance with contract terms
• Implement strategies to increase inventory turns and reduce excess stock

Schedule is 1st shift. Annual salary is $95 - $105k/year, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement leadership role
• Supervisory and management experience required
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Sage Accounting software preferred
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred, but not required
