Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist Locums Job Greater Los Angeles Area Starting ASAP
Details/Requirements:
Need is for a doctor who will cover 1-2 weekend shifts per month and who understands it will take 4 months for credentialing unless they're L.A. County DMH approved already, then it will just take about 2 months or so to get credentialed/privileges at the hospital.
27 bed acute adult inpatient unit covered solely by the locum tenens doctor on weekend days.
Need is for a doctor to cover 1-2 weekend day shifts per month on Saturdays and Sundays 8am to 4pm and night call on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 7pm to 7am the next day - only phone calls, no call backs ever. For the day shifts, will round on every patient each shift, including on weekends, and do psych consults on the med/surg floor as needed. And will handle new admissions and discharges.
Medical physicals for new admissions are done by NPs.
Client has an electronic health record, so candidates must be computer savvy.
Client prefers 6 month minimum assignments.
