Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

We are seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for an 18-day locum tenens assignment in California. This opportunity starts on Oct 13, 2025, and involves providing telehealth services. The psychiatrist will conduct evaluations and manage treatment plans for adolescents, coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.

• Schedule: Telehealth services up to 6 residents monthly; Medication Review every 45 days

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for children before prescribing psychotropic medications
• Treat mental health disorders using both medication and psychotherapy
• Coordinate care with a Nurse Practitioner and other ancillary providers
• Work with support staff on prescription refills and medication changes
• Review and approve treatment courses
• Prepare written medication reviews bi-monthly
• Attend virtual care coordination meetings
• Address urgent patient issues outside of scheduled visits

Additional Information

• Must be licensed in California
• Requires over 6 years of experience as a psychiatrist, specifically with adolescents and CSEC patients
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Familiarity with Epic EMR system
